How it is calculated

Glasgow-Blatchford predicts need for intervention and uses only bedside and blood results, so it can be applied before endoscopy - unlike the full Rockall score, which needs endoscopy findings. A score of 0-1 identifies patients who can be managed as outpatients (ESGE 2021); NICE uses 0 only.
