How it is calculated
Daugirdas second-generation equation. Kt/v measures urea clearance only, and urea is a marker rather than the toxin that matters - a technically adequate Kt/V does not guarantee a well-dialysed patient, and fluid status, nutrition and symptoms matter as much.
