How it is calculated
These conversions match anti-inflammatory potency only. mineralocorticoid activity differs completely - hydrocortisone has substantial mineralocorticoid effect and dexamethasone essentially none, which is why dexamethasone is used where fluid retention must be avoided and hydrocortisone in adrenal insufficiency. Duration of action also differs and is not captured here.
