Range0.5 to 2 ng/mL

About

Serum digoxin, checked because its therapeutic and toxic ranges nearly touch. Take the sample at least 6 hours after the dose or it reads falsely high.

When it is low

Subtherapeutic: check adherence and absorption

When it is high

Toxicity: nausea, yellow-green vision, bidirectional VT. Levels correlate poorly with severity, and become uninterpretable after digoxin immune Fab
