Range0 to 4 ng/mL

Prostate specific antigen. Finasteride and dutasteride roughly halve it, so the value must be doubled in men taking them.

When it is low

Within reference range for most ages

When it is high

Prostate cancer, BPH, prostatitis, recent instrumentation. Finasteride and dutasteride halve the PSA - the value must be doubled to compare against untreated ranges
